Now, as ever,
hiking continues to be one of
the most popular recreational
activities around. And not
without good reason. Tackling
our countryside, one step at a
time, makes and keeps you fit,
but it is also accompanied by an
exceptional feast for the eyes -
the Dachstein Massif to the
north, the Radstädter Tauern to
the south. Here, jagged peaks,
gloriously hikeable
6,000-footers and lush high
pastures, raise the spirits of
each and every visitor. Aside
from the innumerable hiking
routes in and around the
Radstädter Tauern, the
nearby Salzburger Sportwelt and Dachstein-Tauern
regions couldn't possibly offer
any better opportunities for
hiking.
A great tip - easy to
reach by car and undoubtedly one
of the most beautiful lookout
mountains in the Eastern Alps:
the
Rossbrand - the emblem of Radstadt
rising to a height of 1,853
metres above sea level .
