It's snowtime,
folks, wherever you look ...
The Obertauern ski area -
a snowy paradise for
snowboarders and skiers in
Salzburg's mountains and across
the entire "Tauernrunde". And in Obertauern,
you need neither a car nor a ski
shuttle, because you can get
wherever you need to go, from
the ski-rental centre to the
hairdresser, from the shops to
the kindergarten, or from the
post office to lunch at a
country inn, simply by hopping
aboard the cabin lift, chair
lifts or bunny lifts.
Visitors to Untertauern can also
take full advantage of Austria's
biggest ski alliance - the
Ski Amadé
- encompassing the regions of
the Salzburger
Sportwelt, Schladming-
Dachstein- Tauern, Gastein,
Grossarltal and Hochkönig's
"Winter Kingdom". It puts
at your disposal an incredible
total of 865 (!) km of slopes
and 276 ski lifts - all on a
single ski pass (PLEASE NOTE: if
you wish to ski in
Obertauern & Ski Amadé, we
recommend obtaining the "Salzburg Super
Ski Card".
